picture sir paul mccartney opening a show fora quarter of a million people with sgt. peppers with U2. another million people watch from screens all over london. it was a dream come true. U2 let white doves loose after playing beautiful day. then elton john, coldplay, tons of others, and ending with the who, PINK FLOYD (yea you read that right) playing money, then ending only with who began it-paul mccartney playing long and winding road into hey jude. picture all of hyde park singing "na na na nanana nanana - heey jude". words cant describe.
me and another girl got up early to try to sneak into the park without tickets. we considered hopping the fence, steal tickets out of people hands, or just making a run for it and hopefully not get rugby tackled by the security guards. but we settled for finding a huge screen in a park close by. second best idea. so we watched it beginning to end there - all 10 hours! we met tons of people (music makes the people come together as madonna said) and danced and had an amazing time! pictures will hopefully be coming soon.
